Atlético de Madrid plays a key match against Sevilla

After the visit of Levante to Estadio Vicente Calderón, Atlético de Madrid faces the first of two consecutive finals away from home. Javier Aguirre´s team visits Sánchez Pizjuán to take on Sevilla (one week later they have to play Villarreal), a direct rival in the battle for Champions spots. These two teams have faced off in Seville in League matches (five times in Second Division) 68 times, with a balance of 29 Sevilla victories, 11 for Atlético and 28 draws. In the first round of La Liga, the rojiblancos won at Vicente Calderón by a score of 4-3 in an intense and exciting game. Last season, Sevilla clearly beat Atleti at Sánchez Pizjuán, 3-1. In a bad start to the match by the visitors, the team then managed by Juande Ramos was already winning 2-0 in minute 21 (Kanouté and Dani Alves). In minute 72, Kanouté put in the third and in the 81st, Pablo Ibáñez got the consolation goal.
