Atletico visits Vojvodina to certify their qualification for the UEFA Cup

After beginning La Liga in Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Atletico de Madrid returns to UEFA Cup qualifying play when they visit Vojvodina’s stadium in Novi Sad, where they have to make the 3-0 advantage they earned in the first-leg match stand up in order to pass through to the second qualifying round of the competition. The match will be played on Thursday afternoon, September 30th, at 16:30. Javier Aguirre’s team played a great match at the Vicente Calderón, where they beat the Serbian side by a score of 3-0, with the goals coming from Maxi Rodríguez, Forlán and Agüero. Atletico has to make this important advantage hold in order to take part in the next round of the UEFA Cup. If they do so, and then win the next home-and-away tie, they will qualify to play in the mini-league.
